The L5 Nation is to be a meritocracy founded on principles of individual
responsibility and rational anarchy. Honesty is a virtue, and our society
will respect it.
- meritocracy - a social system where persons with the greatest
value have the highest standing
- individual responsibility - a system of beliefs
wherein an individual recognizes the necessity of responsibility for
their own actions, that rights only come from upholding their
responsibilities, where recognition is given for achievement only,
and blame for mistakes falls solely on those who err
- rational anarchy - "the best government is no
government" and a society can live without government only if its
members think about what they do and the consequences of their actions,
and respect the rights of other members of the community
- honesty - we must first be honest with
ourselves, then with society and our environment, if we are to be
successful in the long run
